Bridgestone has unveiled the EV-ready Potenza Sport EVO, a next-generation ultra-high-performance tyre equipped with the brand’s advanced ENLITEN Technology, delivering major gains in sports performance, wet grip, durability, and fuel/energy efficiency.
Building on the multi-award-winning Potenza Sport, the new EVO model offers sharper control at high speeds, improved stability in straight lines and corners, and significantly enhanced wet braking. The tyre achieves a best-in-class EU label A-grade for wet grip, delivering 5% shorter wet braking distances and 2% shorter dry braking distances compared to its predecessor.¹
Bridgestone has also increased tyre life, with the Potenza Sport EVO delivering 15% greater mileage — the equivalent of around 6,000 extra kilometres.² Efficiency gains include up to a 6% reduction in rolling resistance,³ helping extend EV range and improve fuel economy for ICE vehicles.
“The new Bridgestone Potenza Sport EVO with ENLITEN Technology is built for high-performance vehicles and drivers, whatever the powertrain,” said Stefano Sanchini, Vice President Consumer Replacement at Bridgestone EMEA. “Building on the success of the remarkable Potenza Sport – a tyre chosen as original equipment by many of the world’s most prestigious car brands, like Lamborghini, Maserati and Porsche – it continues the proud Potenza family legacy.”
Driven by ENLITEN Technology
ENLITEN, Bridgestone’s next-generation design framework, plays a central role in the tyre’s performance evolution. Engineering updates include:
-
High-stiffness compound for enhanced cornering and high-speed stability
-
Hybrid crown reinforcement and stiff carcass design for precise handling
-
Sporty profile with asymmetric wall angles for improved control
-
Optimised inorganic fillers and rib/void pattern design for class-leading wet grip
-
Advanced polymer-filler interaction to boost abrasion resistance and extend tyre life
The Potenza Sport EVO is also fully EV-ready, engineered to meet the unique torque, load, and efficiency demands of electric vehicles while retaining optimal performance for ICE models.
Expanded Size Range for 2026–2027
Developed and produced in Europe, the tyre will be available in 128 sizes across 18- to 23-inch diameters — 40 more sizes than the previous Potenza Sport.
The rollout will begin in January 2026 with the first batch of 92 sizes, followed by the remaining SKUs in 2027, covering a wide range of high-performance sedans, SUVs, and EVs.
Bridgestone says the expanded availability will ensure compatibility with an even broader array of vehicles across multiple global markets.
