Fiat Professional has unveiled the Fullback, a new medium-duty pickup truck which makes its world debut at the Dubai International Motor Show.
The Fullback, which derives its name from an American football position, will be available across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region from May next year, the firm said.
With the new truck, the Fiat Professional brand enters the medium-duty pickup truck segment in the EMEA region, where it sold 675,000 units in 2014, accounting for 23% of the total sales in the LCV segment. This share is even larger in the MEA, with 58% in the Middle East and 52% in Africa.
The Fullback line-up includes four configurations – single cab, extended cab, double cab and chassis – as well as three trim levels.
In the Middle East and Africa the Fullback pick-up truck will be available with two engine options: a 2.5L diesel with a power output of between 81kW (110hp) and 131kW (178hp), and a 2.4L petrol engine that delivers 97kW (132hp). Moreover, the pick-up truck will be available in the entire EMEA region with rear or full-wheel-drive.
All versions of the Fullback have a maximum height of 1,780mm and width of 1,815mm, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm. The payload capacity, according to the configuration, comes up to 1,100 kg.
