Musanada completes $12.8mn road rehabilitation project

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) has completed work on the 88km Al Faya – Seeh Shuaib E75 road rehabilitation project. The firm says the project cost US $12.8 million and was completed in co-ordination with the Department of Transport (DoT).

According to a statement, works involved the repair of asphalt defects, side shoulders and damaged bridge expansion joints, in addition to the removal of accumulated sand and the replacement of guardrails at key areas with rope rails. Musanada also says road surface markings were reworked, while guiding and traffic signs were improved.

Musanada said it complied with eco-sustainable requirements by re-cycling scraped asphalt into new projects. As per the DoT, the recycled material was used in the construction and the paving of roads to several farms, as well as the construction of temporary parking lots for certain facilities.

The project aims to ease traffic and the transport of goods to and from Abu Dhabi city, as the Al Faya –Seeh Shuaib E75 road is one of the main roads used by trucks between Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
