Iveco has launched the new medium-duty Eurocargo truck, in the year the Italian industrial-vehicle manufacturer marks its 40th anniversary.
Two years after the launch of the Euro 6 version of the Eurocargo, Iveco has made further changes to the truck, which has sold half a million units in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Australia and Latin America.
The new Eurocargo adopts a single anti-emission system, the HI-SCR system with passive diesel particulate filter, which works through fresh air intake rather than exhaust gas circulation. Fuel efficiency is boosted through the development of a new turbocharger, which ensures fuel savings of up to 8%.
In addition to these improvements, the Eurocargo is also built around a new design, which reflects the style of the Iveco Daily, with new air deflectors and front grille.
“The new Eurocargo is the ideal partner in the city. It offers a substantial update in design, safety and functionality, it consumes less fuel and consequently reduces CO2 emissions, and it maintains the same manoeuvrability with improved engine torque and driver comfort,” said Pierre Lahutte, Iveco Brand President.
