GAC has reached a major global milestone after surpassing 30 million cumulative vehicle owners worldwide, with the company highlighting the Middle East as one of the key regions supporting its international growth strategy.
To commemorate the achievement, GAC Middle East hosted a customer appreciation event in the UAE, celebrating the roll-out of the group’s 30-millionth vehicle while recognising the contribution of customers across the region. The event, led by General Manager Mark Zhang, also reflected the growing importance of the Middle East within GAC’s expanding global operations.
The celebration featured existing customers, including one UAE owner returning to purchase a second GAC vehicle, illustrating the brand’s increasing customer loyalty in the region. GAC Middle East also selected a UAE customer to represent the Middle East at the company’s official 30 Million Owners celebration in Guangzhou, China.

Middle East part of GAC’s journey
Commenting on the achievement, Mark Zhang, General Manager of GAC Middle East said: “Reaching 30 million owners is a milestone that belongs to our customers as much as it does to GAC. The Middle East has been part of this journey for more than a decade, and the loyalty we see here reflects the trust our customers place in the brand. Owners returning to buy their second and third GAC vehicles are the clearest measure of the trust we have earned. We are proud that a UAE customer will represent the region in Guangzhou, and we intend to keep repaying that confidence with the quality and after-sales support our owners expect.”
The milestone comes during a period of rapid international expansion for the Chinese manufacturer. During the first half of 2026, exports of GAC’s own-brand vehicles reached 121,500 units, representing year-on-year growth of 132%. The company reported positive growth across all five of its overseas regions: the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.
Today, GAC operates in 110 countries and territories through a global network comprising 746 sales and service outlets, six overseas manufacturing plants and nine overseas parts warehouses. The company continues to strengthen its international operations through investments spanning research and development, manufacturing, sales and after-sales support.
The Middle East has become one of GAC’s strategic growth markets over the past decade, supported by an expanding dealer network and increasing customer demand. In the UAE, partner Gargash GAC Motor recently opened what the company describes as the country’s largest GAC showroom in Dubai, further strengthening its retail presence.

Elsewhere in the region, GAC continues to grow through established distributor partnerships in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon. Kuwait, where GAC first entered the Middle East through Mutawa Alkazi Automotive, remains one of the company’s strongest regional markets.
Looking ahead, GAC said the 30-million-owner milestone provides the foundation for its next phase of international growth. The company plans to continue investing in new technologies, product development and customer experience as it seeks to strengthen its position in overseas markets, with the Middle East expected to remain a key contributor to that strategy.
