Doosan to display its equipment range at Conexpo 2017

Doosan Construction Equipment will display a variety of machines at its booths during the upcoming Conexpo exhibition in Las Vegas from March 7-11.

The exhibition is one of the largest and most important events of its kind in the world and the biggest in the Americas. It is held triennially at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, USA. Doosan will be displaying its products in two booths — G4476 and G4876 — located in the Gold Lot at the venue, said a statement from the Korean equipment giant.

The Doosan products on show will include earthmoving equipment designed for general construction contractors. On display will be crawler and wheeled excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks (ADT), as well as a variety of attachments for use with excavators and wheel loaders, the statement said, adding that the company will emphasize the durability, reliability and productivity of its equipment to visitors at the event.

Doosan offers a full line of dependable and durable excavators from 14t and above, including 15 crawler excavator models and six wheeled excavator models. These excavators range from the 14t DX140LC-5 to the largest model, the 54t DX530LC-5, to match a wide spectrum of customer needs, the company said. Doosan also offers two crawler models and a wheeled excavator designed with reduced tail swing for operation in confined jobsites. According to the statement, each excavator model provides operators with optimal performance, reliability, fuel efficiency and simple maintenance.

The wheeled excavators are manufactured with rubber tyres, making them a popular choice when working on improved surfaces such as finished concrete or asphalt, where the excavators can operate with minimal ground disturbance and are able to traverse job sites more quickly, said the company.

Doosan offers 10 models of wheel loaders, each of which have been designed to offer performance, reliability, fuel efficiency, operator comfort and ease of serviceability, the manufacturer claims. While the range is built for digging, loading and lifting applications, many models are available with a high-lift configuration for extra reach and dump height.

Doosan added that it offers two lift-arm designs – an A Z-bar loader linkage and a parallel lift arm. Two tool carrier models ? the DL200TC-5 and DL250TC-5 ? are designed with the parallel lift arm to provide added versatility and multiple attachment capabilities. An optional quick coupler makes changing attachments a fast and easy operation.

In the dump truck segment, the latest generation of Doosan’s ADT come in two models ? the DA30-5 and DA40-5 ? and offer high load capacities coupled with high power and traction. Each machine is designed to maintain tyre contact with the ground at all times due to the machine’s tandem rear bogie, front-mounted turning ring, sloping rear frame and front suspension. Doosan said its ADTs have been designed to offer optimal traction in all applications with permanent six-wheel drive systems.

The company has been manufacturing ADTs for more than 40 years, during which time it claims to have gathered enough experience and expertise to offer some of the most fuel-efficient off-road trucks in the industry, making them ideal for construction sites, road projects and mass excavation, as well as mining and quarry environments.

The Doosan machines scheduled to be on display during CONEXPO include: the DA40-5 articulated dump truck; the DL200-5, DL220-5, DL250TC-5, DL420-5 and DL550-5 wheel loaders; the DX140LCR-5, DX225LC-5, DX300SLR-5, DX350LC-5 and DX490LC-5 crawler excavators; and the DX190W-5 wheeled excavator.
