Volvo Trucks has delivered 125 new VNL trucks to Highlight Motor Group in Canada. This marks the largest order in the country to date for Volvo’s new flagship model.
The Volvo VNL 860s will add to Highlight Motor Group’s existing fleet. Safety and driver comfort were central to Highlight’s decision to choose Volvo, especially as the industry faces challenges with driver recruitment and retention. The company refreshes vehicles every 4- to 5- years, maintaining one of the youngest fleets in the industry, said a statement.
“Highlight Motor Group has been a strong long-term partner to Volvo Trucks, and this order is a clear demonstration of their commitment to safety, efficiency, and their drivers,” said Matthew Blackman, Managing Director, Canada, Volvo Trucks North America.

The new Volvo VNL for long-haul was engineered for optimal fuel efficiency, delivering up to a 10% improvement over the previous model through advanced aerodynamics and powertrain refinements. The truck features new enhancements to boost productivity, profitability, safety and sustainability for trucking companies.
Advanced safety features of the Volvo VNL 860 include Volvo Active Driver Assist Plus, lane keep support, pedestrian detection, and automated emergency braking.
