Kia has won the Kia EV3 has been crowned the winner in the Compact SUV category at the prestigious 2025 Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year (WWCOTY) Awards. This recognition highlights the EV3’s exceptional innovation, performance, and value for money in the competitive automotive landscape.
The WWCOTY jury, consisting of 82 female motoring journalists from 55 countries across five continents, evaluated the Kia EV3 against eleven other vehicles in the Compact SUV category. The evaluation was based on safety, quality, design, price, ease of driving, performance, and environmental impact. The EV3 emerged as a standout, praised for its advanced technology, driving dynamics, comfort, and affordability.
The EV3 features an impressive range of up to 605 km (WLTP) and incorporates 400V fast-charging technology, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in just 29 minutes. Additionally, up to 202 km of range can be added in a mere 15 minutes, cementing the EV3’s position as one of the most efficient electric vehicles in its class.
Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy is vividly reflected in the EV3, blending modern aesthetics with natural elements to create a harmonious design. Its 2.68-meter wheelbase and 4.30-meter overall length allow for a spacious, living-room-inspired interior, complemented by a 460-liter boot with a flexible two-tier floor and an additional 25-liter frunk.
This accolade underscores Kia’s commitment to developing vehicles that resonate with diverse customer needs and preferences globally, said the company. The recognition of the EV3 at the WWCOTY Awards demonstrates a universal appeal and its alignment with the values and priorities of women worldwide, it added.
The Kia EV3 now joins five other category winners, including vehicles from 4×4 and Pick-Up, Large SUV, Large Car, Performance and Luxury Cars, and Urban Model categories, in the final round of judging to determine the WWCOTY Supreme Winner. Last year, the prestigious Supreme Winner title was awarded to Kia’s flagship EV9. The 2025 Supreme Winner will be announced on March 6, just ahead of International Women’s Day.
