Michelin appoints Vitor Silva as president for Africa, India, and Middle East Region

Based in Pune, India, Silva brings over 28 years of expertise and leadership experience within the Michelin Group to the pivotal role

Michelin, the global leader in tyre technology and sustainable mobility solutions, has announced the appointment of Vitor Silva as the new President for its Africa, India, and Middle East (AIM) region. Based in Pune, India, Silva brings over 28 years of expertise and leadership experience within the Michelin Group to this pivotal role.

Throughout his career with Michelin, Silva has held prominent leadership positions in sales, marketing, and commercial operations across North America, Europe, and Asia. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Chief Operating Officer at Euromaster, a Michelin subsidiary and Europe’s leading service provider for car, van, and truck fleets, overseeing operations in over 2,500 centres across 18 countries.

Silva’s extensive portfolio also includes leadership roles in key business segments such as two-wheel vehicles, trucks, retread, and distribution, demonstrating his deep understanding of the diverse needs of Michelin’s global markets.

In his new capacity, Silva will focus on accelerating Michelin’s growth and strengthening its presence in the AIM region. He will lead efforts to enhance customer experiences and drive innovation in line with Michelin’s vision for sustainable mobility and its commitment to delivering world-class solutions for diverse transportation needs.
