The shortlist for the prestigious Construction Machinery Middle East (CMME) Awards 2025 has been officially revealed, following a record-breaking nomination campaign that drew more than 130 entries from across the region.
Organised by Construction Machinery ME magazine, the CMME Awards celebrate the standout achievements and innovations in the heavy equipment and machinery sector. This year’s edition promises to be the most competitive yet, with a surge in nominations reflecting the strength and ambition of the regional market.
The nomination period, originally scheduled to close at the end of May, was extended to 10th June following multiple requests from across the industry. The move allowed more companies to complete and strengthen their submissions, which included detailed technical specifications, performance data, and supporting documentation.
“It’s always exciting to reach the shortlist stage,” said Stephen White, Head of Content at Construction Machinery Middle East. “This year’s entries were especially impressive — not only in quantity but in the level of quality and depth each submission brought. The shortlist now represents the best the industry has to offer across rental, distribution, lifting, sustainability, and technology.”
The 2025 edition has expanded its scope to introduce several new and updated categories. These include a deeper focus on equipment rental specialists, road-making technologies, cranes and lifting innovations, and aftermarket support performance. The revised structure reflects both the increasing complexity and rapid transformation of the construction and industrial machinery landscape in the Middle East.
“The CMME Awards are more than just a trophy night — they are a celebration of leadership, operational excellence, and technical progress,” added White. “Each category was designed to reflect real-world challenges and achievements, and our judging process will ensure each winner is selected on merit, with integrity.”
The shortlisted nominees will now move into the final judging phase, overseen by a panel of regional and international experts drawn from equipment manufacturing, distribution, contracting, and consulting. Winners will be announced during the Awards Gala, scheduled to take place on 25th June at the Ritz-Carlton JBR in Dubai.
In addition to the recognition that comes with a CMME Award, shortlisted companies benefit from regional and international visibility via a targeted media campaign and social media engagement. The Awards night itself is expected to attract a distinguished guest list of manufacturers, dealers, rental operators, and industry leaders — offering an exceptional networking platform.
