GWM opens largest showroom outside China in the UAE

Milestone highlights continued expansion and strengthening of Chinese auto giant’s Middle East footprint and network across the region

Great Wall Motor (GWM) Middle East has marked a major milestone in its regional growth strategy with the opening of a new flagship facility in the UAE. The newly inaugurated location is the largest GWM showroom outside China, underscoring the brand’s rapidly growing footprint and long-term commitment to customers across the Middle East.

The new flagship showroom marks a significant step in GWM’s ongoing regional expansion strategy and reflects the brand’s continued investment in premium, customer-centric retail experiences across the region.

The opening comes amid strong momentum for GWM in the Middle East, where the brand has recorded 42% year-on-year growth across the region, driven by increasing demand for its expanding SUV, pickup and new-energy vehicle portfolio.

Over the past few years, GWM has also significantly scaled its presence across the GCC, building a network of 95 showrooms and 93 service workshops across the region, in partnership with some of the region’s leading automotive distributors. Together, these investments have created an integrated sales and aftersales ecosystem designed to deliver a seamless ownership experience for customers across the Middle East.

Middle East an important market for GWM

Commenting on the expansion, Sunny Bhat, Chief Operating Officer for GWM Middle East, said: “The Middle East continues to be one of GWM’s most important markets and the opening of one of our largest overseas showrooms outside China is a clear sign of our long-term commitment to the region.

“We wanted to create more than just a place to display our vehicles. This flagship showroom is designed to be a one-stop destination where customers can experience the brand and receive the support they need throughout their ownership journey. It reflects our ambition to put customers at the centre of everything we do and our determination to build a strong, lasting presence in the Middle East by earning their trust and confidence every step of the way,” he added.

The flagship facility brings together the powerful TANK SUV range, the popular HAVAL urban SUV lineup and the rugged POER pickup series under one roof, showcasing more than 10 models and reflecting GWM’s growing model line-up across the region.

Built in line with GWM’s latest global retail identity, the showroom is designed to give customers an immersive and hands-on way to explore the brand’s vehicles and technologies in a premium, family-friendly environment that includes a café and children’s play area.
