Winners of the 2024 Automechanika Dubai Awards revealed

Competition highlights emerging trends and cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of the industry, says Messe Frankfurt

The 2024 Automechanika Dubai Awards recognised exceptional achievements and transformative contributions across the automotive aftermarket industry during a ceremony held on 11 December at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Now in its fourth year, the awards celebrated innovation, resilience, and creativity in a rapidly evolving sector, honouring winners in categories spanning Service Excellence, Products, Transformation, and People.

A Record-Breaking Year for Entries

This year’s awards drew an overwhelming 409 entries, with 54 finalists vying for top honours across 13 categories, including two new additions: Mobile Services Provider of the Year and Car Care Specialist of the Year. The competition highlighted emerging trends and cutting-edge solutions shaping the future of the industry.

Service Excellence

In the Service Excellence category, Munich Motor Works dominated with wins in both the Body Shop of the Year – Passenger Cars and Workshop of the Year categories.

  • CAFU and Orient Motors shared the Mobile Services Provider of the Year award, recognised for their innovative contributions to the region’s automotive and mobility sectors.
  • Performansion, a Dubai-based startup, was named Car Care Specialist of the Year for redefining luxury vehicle aesthetics and care.
  • Orient Motors also secured the Service Provider of the Year – Commercial Vehicles title for its expertise in fleet maintenance.

Products

In the Products category:

  • CAMAUTO from Canada won Innovation Product of the Year for its cutting-edge glue-pulling system.
  • Team Young Technology Co. was awarded Sustainability Product of the Year for its B-power battery device.
  • HELLA Middle East received the Safety Product of the Year award for its advanced commercial vehicle brake pad.
  • Cyber Automotive Solutions took home Digital Product of the Year for IGMMA, an innovative automotive management system.

Transformation

  • GaragePlug Inc. won the Digitalisation Project of the Year for its cloud-based platform that boosts network productivity, enhances customer experiences, and provides actionable business intelligence.
  • FUSE EV Conversions LLC earned the title of Startup of the Year, highlighting its innovative approach to electric vehicle conversions.

People

In the People category:

  • Gaitri Jeswani, COO of Eurodiesel Services LLC, was honoured with the Women in Automotive Aftermarket award for her exceptional leadership and expertise.
  • Surender Singh Kandhari, Chairman and Founder of Al Dobowi Group, received the Special Recognition Award for his contributions to the automotive aftermarket industry across the Middle East and Africa.

Judging and Recognition

The winners were selected by an esteemed panel of judges, including prominent industry leaders such as Alan Whaley, Founder and Chairman of AMENA Professional FZ-LLC; Dr. Nima Mehrdadi, VP Aftermarket Middle East, Africa, and India at HELLA Middle East; and Graham Threlfall, Global Key Account Manager at AkzoNobel, among others. Judges evaluated entries based on sustainability, technological advancements, and transformative contributions to the industry.

Celebrating Innovation and Adaptability

Speaking about the awards, Mahmut Gazi Bilikozen, Portfolio Director, Mobility & Logistics at Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: “This year’s winners exemplify the spirit of innovation and adaptability that drives the automotive aftermarket industry forward. Their contributions pave the way for a sustainable, technology-driven future. Automechanika 2024 is thrilled to celebrate the remarkable individuals and organisations shaping the industry.”

Truck and Fleet Middle East has also announced that it will host its own awards ceremony in January 2025, further spotlighting achievements in the region’s transport and logistics sectors.

With Truck and Fleet Middle East’s awards on the horizon in January 2025, the momentum for recognising excellence in the region’s automotive and logistics sectors continues to build.
