Goldhofer set to debut air suspension Trailstar at IAA

"We have developed a straightforward, robust and economical product line that offers our customers meaningful advantages in terms of the versatility of their fleets"

Goldhofer will introduce its new Trailstar air-suspension trailer from the Star family at this year’s IAA Transportation in Hanover from 20 to 25 September, the company has announced.

According to the heavy-lift specialist, the three to five axle air-suspension trailer comes with a practical load securing system, form-fit pocket stakes and a ramp system with an extremely low approach angle to accommodate low-floor vehicles.

It also features 10t lashing points on the full length of the loading deck. As an optional extra, a very “wide, deep and long” excavator boom recess is available for transporting excavators with large excavator arms.

In March 2020, Al Faris executed a heavy lift and move job for the Hatta hydro power project and used the Goldhofer hydraulic multi axle and self-propelled trailers for the move.

“Like all vehicles in the Star family, it has an optimum payload-to-deadweight ratio. Plus, the four- and five-axle versions feature self-tracking steering for even greater maneuverability,” says Markus Albrecht, Product Line Manager for the Star family at Goldhofer.

In addition, the trailer has Wader container latches for transporting large construction containers and is available with new Goldhofer CargoPlus tyres for axle loads of ten or twelve tonnes, offering a loading height of only 780mm.

As part of its product portfolio expansion Goldhofer will also introduce the Stepstar semi lowloader at IAA Transportation.

“With the Star family, we have developed a straightforward, robust and economical product line that offers our customers meaningful advantages in terms of the versatility of their fleets. The common parts strategy adopted for the Star family delivers economies of scale in fleet management for our customers for increased profitability,” adds Robert Steinhauser, Sales Manager Europe / North Africa at Goldhofer.
